There are a few network marketing opportunities that are just scams. There are far more that may be well-intentioned, but have a poor track record, for any number of reasons. There are many people who have joined network marketing companies which the hope to be wealthier than their wildest dreams, but dreams were all they were. So how do you find the needle in the haystack? We have put together the "Top 10 Ways To Choose A Great Network Marketing Company" to help you make the right decision that's right for you!

1. How long has the Network Marketing company been in business
A business that has been around for over 5 years should be an important criteria if you want increased stability and lower risk. It's important to choose a company that has been around for a long time because they will have the experience, systems, tools, know-how, and track record.

2. How well is the company funded/capitalized?

Does the company have a large reserve fund or reserved cash to grow, expand, promote, change systems, and keep up with technology? It would be wise to choose a publicly traded company because they are required to be transparent and must disclose all their financial statements in detail every 90 days to the IRS. It would be more difficult to get financial information on public companies and they are usually non-transparent!

3. Does the company have a "Unique Selling Proposition" (USP)
One of the keys to marketing success is to have a USP! It's important to have products or services that are unique from competitors. What are the advantages of the companies products or services over their competitors? Does the company have that edge? A USP will ensure that the company always remains on top of it's competitors as well has justify the increase in price for the product or service (which means higher commissions for you)

4. Is there a high demand for the product or service?
This world works on supply and demand. More supply will mean less demand and less supply will mean more demand. Also, it's important that there is a genuine need for the product or service. There have been many horror stories of people who joined network marketing companies with their basements filled with the companies junk (inventory) which no one wanted or needed! The product or service must have REAL need at a fair price.

5. Is the product or service a trend or fad?
It's important to choose a company that has a product or service that will be in high demand for the long haul! If the company was selling beany babies, you wouldn't have lasted until today! Think long term and ask yourself if people will still need your product or service 20 to 50 years from today.

6. How long will it take to start actually making money?
It's important that you understand the companies system and know the timeframe for which the average person starts earning commissions. If you want to join a financial company that requires you to get a license before start earning commissions you may want to take that into consideration. I know of people who didn't start earning income for over a year after they started working in network marketing companies.

7. How good is the system and technology of the company?
In any business the system is the key to success. Without a great system, there will be no enduring success or profit. If you go into any McDonalds they have a system that is run the same all throughout the world. Because everyone doesn't have sales abilities it would be important for people who are not good at selling to either have a very good upline or a system and tols that do the selling for you!

8. Is the person who introduced you to the company a great leader and committed to serving you?
Another important factor to your success in the company is the person who introduced you to the company. It's important to follow a successful leader and the sponsor which be there to serve and help you as much as possible.

9. How much time is required to become successful in the company?
Time is a very important asset ALL of us are running out of. How much time will be required to become successful in the company? Does the company have internal systems that are efficient and save a lot of time to make it easy for you to run a successful business? There are companies that only require a few hours a week while others may require you to be full time! Understand what the requirements are!

10. Do What You Love?
There is no better feeling than making money doing what you love! Many people have jobs and hate their work, so you should choose a company that has a philosophy that you love and enjoy. Their products, people and leaders should be a pleasure to work with which will optimize your chances for success. This will also make you a lot happier in general! Ask yourself how much FUN you'll have?
Network Marketing companies are not for everyone, however, most of these companies have EXCELLENT training programmes and teach great "Principles". We would highly recommend that you appreciate not only the money you make from these companies, but what you LEARN as well.
